Self-Learning Booklet: Masculinities and Violence against Women and Girls

Published on: 02/10/2016

This self-learning booklet on masculinities and violence against women and girls was developed by UN Women as the result of a series of training courses that aimed to strengthen capacities of development practitioners and advocates to understand, integrate and address critical gender issues in their lives and work.  The booklet is free of charge to download, and requires an understanding of English.

This tool aims to assist both UN and non-UN staff to better understand the issues of masculinities in relation to violence against women and girls. Its intended audience is practitioners and advocates working in development and humanitarian agencies and settings, whether they have a particular expertise in or responsibility for work on violence against girls and women, and gender equality, or not.
