Gender responsive budgeting is a tool to ensure that gender equality commitments are reflected and realised in public budgets. This e-learning course introduces participants to the concept, principles, tools and practical examples of gender responsive budgeting (GRB) and how to use it. The course runs from 29th of November to the 13th of December, 2017, and costs $125 to enroll before September 1st, and $145 thereafter. This course involves three 90-minute live webinars, reading materials, and a final assignment.
Week 1: Basics of gender responsive budgeting – gender equality, neutrality of a budget, how to link the two (gender and budgets)
Week 2: GRB actors, approaches and tools, international examples and case studies
Week 3: GRB approaches and tools, practical work on gender analysis of budgets
